AQUABAC® is produced from a strain of Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (BTI), a naturally occurring bacterium that produces a crystalline protein toxic (crystal) and a spore. The larval activity of AQUABAC formulations and all other BTI formulations is due to the presence of the protein toxin. The spore has no larvicidal activity. AQUABAC formulations are unique and specifically manufactured to enhance the toxin’s larvicide effects and to ensure the toxin’s biological stability. AQUABAC formulations are produced in the United States to strict manufacturing specifications, ensuring that the products are of high quality and without any harmful contaminants. The potency of AQUABAC is controlled within specific limits using bioassay procedure based on toxicity to larvae of Aedes aegypti. Quality control bioassays are conducted prior to the release of each lot of product. Other analyses are conducted on each lot to ensure that there are no microbial contaminants present in the formulation.

Mosquito Killer, Granular

The active ingredient in Mosquito Killer is Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (BTI). BTI is a bacterium that is deadly to mosquito larvae but harmless to other living things. Mosquito Killer, a cob granular product suitable for aerial or ground application is a selective microbial insecticide effective against mosquito in a variety of habitats. When spread over the water surface, the Mosquito Killer releases a biological mosquito larvicide at the water’s surface. This larvicide gradually settles in the water where it is eaten by mosquito larvae growing there. The Mosquito Killer will give a quick kill within 24 hours. Simply sprinkle at rates as low as 0.01-0.025gm per 1 litre of water. Recommended re-application interval is seven to fourteen days, although control for up to 30 days has been achieved under some conditions.

Aquabac DF3000

Aquabac DF3000 is a water-dispersible granule formulation of bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (BTI) that is effective against mosquitoes, blackflies, nuisance flies and nuisance aquatic midges in a variety of habitats.

It offers the storage of a dry product with the application versatility of a liquid spray. Aquabac DF3000 can be applied with aerial, ground equipment or direct. It can be applied concentrate, or diluted with water, for ultra-low volume (ULV) or conventional high or low volume applications. When used with ULV equipment, the BTI mist droplets will be disperse and reached water retention sites like tree-holes, leaf axils, fallen leaves, roof gutters and ground depressions where conventional application methods deem inaccessible. The BTI mist droplets gradually settle in the water where it is eaten by mosquito larvae growing there, hence killing them.
